I found the code to change to fix Issue #118: Error when using measurement A23 waist_to_floor
This and any other initializations of known measurements can be found in the source file Seamly2D/src/libs/vpattermdb/vtranslatemeasurements.cpp, where the formula is hard coded.
I attached a comment to the issue in github to document this
